As a member of the American Advertising Federation of Shreveport-Bossier (AAFSB), you are helping finance a grass-roots organization filled with other advertising industry professionals who fight every single day to help keep your career alive and well. Protecting the business of advertising, educating tomorrow’s industry leaders and giving back to the community are just a few examples of what your paid membership supports.

AAFSB is dedicated to the education and advancement of our regional advertising industry. Membership is comprised of people from all corners of the advertising and communications industry, from advertising agencies to marketing, broadcasting, public relations, event planning, graphic design and more. Shreveport-Bossier AAF hosts monthly events to promote professional development and networking opportunities. 

In order to become a member of the American Advertising Federation of Shreveport-Bossier (AAFSB), you must be gainfully employed in advertising, promotion, public relations or related fields. Your membership must also be voted on and accepted by the AAFSB Board of Directors per the AAFSB By-Laws. Annual membership dues are to be paid before membership can be fully authorized.

Joining at the local level will also make you part of our national organization, the American Advertising Federation (AAF). In addition to national membership, our ad club is also a member of District 10, one of 15 geographic districts that make up the national AAF.

Students

Build your resume with real-world experience and connections. We strive to make this club a forum for ongoing development and education and a venue to network and to be recognized. The more you become involved in AAFSB, the more you will benefit. Go to meetings, get creative, speak up, plan events, and I think you’ll find it is a very rewarding experience. We have several students alone who have landed jobs through our annual Agency Crawl! And there is a hefty discount for student American Advertising Award entries and gala tickets.

Must be currently enrolled at one of the following North Louisiana colleges or universities: Louisiana State University at Shreveport, Centenary College of Louisiana, Digital Media Institute, Southern University of Louisiana at Shreveport, Northwestern State University, Grambling State University, University of Louisiana at Monroe, Louisiana Tech University, or Louisiana Delta Community College.
